Convention & Visitors Bureau, Long Beach, CA

The Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau is the official organization contracted by the city to promote meetings, conventions and tourism to Long Beach.  CVB staff members are experts in the planning and execution of meetings, conventions and special events.  Each year the CVB staff wins many major national meeting industry awards for excellence in customer service.

The Bureau is staffed by a team of experienced sales and marketing professionals in three major departments – Convention Sales & Service, Marketing & Membership, and Digital Communications/Public Relations. A board of directors comprised of local business and community leaders provides policy guidance to the organization. LBCVB members represent all facets of the hospitality industry and the Long Beach community, including arts and cultural organizations, attractions, dining, entertainment, hotels, businesses and transportation.

The Bureau staff directs its aggressive sales and marketing efforts to the “people movers;” the meeting planners, travel agents, tour operators and travel journalists who directly influence a visitor’s choice in planning a convention or vacation.  While approximately six million visitors travel to Long Beach each year, a recent study reported that just the overnight visitors alone account for more than $300 million dollars in direct visitor spending, making tourism one of the city’s most important industries.  Every business in Long Beach benefits from a strong convention and hospitality industry.
